About
Wasteland is a fetish party that has been held in Amsterdam since 1994 and also runs regular editions in Berlin. Rather than a club with fixed opening hours, it is a series of events at changing venues, combining shows, performance art, fashion and several dance floors playing house and techno. Each edition has its own theme. The crowd is mixed: straight, gay, lesbian, bi, trans and everyone in between, from committed fetishists to creative clubbers. Solo visitors are welcome as long as they meet the strict dress code and follow the code of conduct. The organisers say it is not a sex party, although intimacy is not ruled out. Upcoming dates include a Halloween Ball, an edition at Northsea Venue and a summer festival.
When it's open
Individual events, no fixed days. Scheduled: Halloween Ball 31 Oct 2026 (Radion, 21:00–05:00), Wasteland Amsterdam 28 Nov 2026 (Northsea Venue, 22:00–06:00), April 2027 edition (venue TBA), Summerfest 3 Jul 2027 (Kaap Amsterdam, 13:00–23:00).
House rules
Respect and consent come first; touching without permission and harassment are forbidden. No photos or filming (only official photographers wearing a badge). Party drugs are not allowed. Free condoms at the entrance. Coming alone is fine.
Dress code
Strict fetish dress code checked at the door; the door's decision is final and there are no refunds if refused. Creative outfits in latex, leather, rubber, metal, uniforms, burlesque or cross-dress; no casual streetwear or army gear. Fabric is allowed at the Halloween Ball and Summerfest. A shop at the entrance sells alternative outfits.
