About
Sameplace is an erotic café on Nassaukade in Amsterdam that has been open since 1997. It deliberately presents itself not as a glossy swingers club but as an ordinary Amsterdam bar where anyone aged 18 or over is welcome, regardless of experience, orientation or fetish. Most guests come as a couple, though women also visit alone or with a friend. Erotic play is optional and dropping in just for a drink is fine. The ground floor has a bar with a small dance floor and seating; the basement has more private spaces. Sunday night is for couples and women, and recurring theme nights cater to the BDSM scene and to trans guests and their admirers. There are no reservations and payment is cash only.

Closed Mon; Tue–Thu 21:00–02:00; Fri–Sat 21:00–03:00; Sun 22:00–03:00 (also 15:00–20:00 on theme-party days). Sunday night Couples Night; 4th Wednesday T&T Night; 3rd Thursday BDSM The Game; 1st Sunday afternoon BDSM Pure.
House rules
18+. Cash only. Locker use is mandatory (€10 deposit) for bags, phones and other electronics; no recording of any kind. No smoking, no drugs or excessive drinking, no payment for sex. Always ask before touching anyone; no means no. Single men may be turned away when there are too many; on Fri–Sat only with gold or platinum membership, and not on Sunday nights.
Dress code
Single men: at least black shoes, black trousers and a black shirt. Couples and women: smart, sexy or in between. Never a tracksuit. Fetish wear, (partial) nudity and cross-dressing are welcome every night.
